Raeren

The area around the hotel offers a lot of visitor attractions, all in a beautiful rural setting.

Pottery Museum in Raeren

The Pottery Museum is set in the moated castle in the centre of Raeren, and is uniquely charming. For centuries, pottery products were exported all around the world from here. There are over 2,000 exhibits in the museum, which speak for themselves. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm.

Border forest Hauset/Aachen

Just a stone’s throw from the hotel is the forest that straddles the border between Hauset (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany). It is popular for its varied hiking trails, on both sides of the border. A particular attraction are the unique “Cyclops Stones”, which form natural landmarks.

KuKuK: art and culture in Köpfchen

The Belgian/German art and cultural association KuKuK has taken over the former customs building at the Hauset/Aachen border crossing. There is a café and a studio for art exhibitions, and it is the starting point for guided tours of the Aachen border forest.
