High Fens

The High Fens, found along the German-Belgian border, are the largest high moorland area in Europe, and the oldest nature reserve in the country. The area is particularly popular with hikers and nature lovers, with unique walkways leading through a largely untouched natural landscape. The “Signal de Botrange”, Belgium’s highest point, can be found here. Various different tourist centres in the area can provide information about hiking trails and opportunities for skiing in winter.
